AIMS AND OBJECTS OF ANJUMAN TARAQQI URDU HIND KARNATAKA

1) To preserve, protect and develop Urdu language, its literature and culture in the State.
2)  To establish its branches in the Districts, Taluk as and major cities of the State.
3)  To encourage Urdu poets and writers by publishing their works of fiction and poetry.
4)  To organize conferences, seminars, workshops etc. in order to encourage research and creative work in Urdu language.
5)  To promote Urdu education at the primary, secondary, college and university level by timely interventions wherever found necessary.
6) To establish Urdu libraries, reading rooms and research centers wherever found feasible.
7)  To take up any issues pertaining to Urdu language and literature with local,state level and the central level authorities whenever such a needarises.
8)  To organize Urdu literary meets and cultural events such as Mushairas, plays Ghazal concerts, Daastangoi programs and Urdu festivals etc.
9)  To organize Annual extension lectures by eminent scholars in accordance with the Annual Action Plan of the Anjuman.
10)  To establish and run well equipped centers for teaching Urdu language to all those who may be desirous of learning the language
11)  To establish a well-equipped Research wing of the Anjuman at the state level.
12)  To undertake preservation by digitisation of rare and important Urdu Manuscripts and make them available in the printed form aswell.
13)  Take up translation of selected Urdu literary works into Kannada and other languages,as well as translation of selected works in Kannada and other languages into Urdu.
14)  To identify and honour individuals and organisations rendering/ have rendered outstanding service to the cause of Urdu.
15)  To identify and support such of the Urdu schools, whether Government runor privately run, which in the opinion of the Anjuman may require its support and patronage.
16)  To monitor the functioning of Urdu schools and Urdu anganwadies and bring any deficiencies/ shortcomings found in them to the notice of the authorities concerned.
17)  To establish/ promote institutes to impart training to Urdu school teachers, S.D.M.C members and community leaders in regard to education in general and Urdu education in particular.
18)  To bring all Urdu speaking citizens of Karnataka on one platform in order to consolidate and energies collective efforts to preserve, promote and protect the status of Urdu language and its activities in the State.
19)  To engage and collaborate with other Urdu literary and cultural institutions and organisations which may be engaged in cultural, educational and literary activities, in order to execute major projects at the national and international level whenever the Anjuman decides to take up such projects.
20)  To offer scholarships, fellowships and other incentives to encourage research projects, pursuit of higher learning or production of creative works in Urdu.
21)  To commission production of books, documentaries and audio-visual content of high quality in pursuit of the Aims and objects of the Anjuman
22) To take up any other activity which the Anjuman may consider necessary in order to achieve the objectives set out in this Memorandum of Association.
